About the Company & Role
As a well-established and privately owned civil contractor with clients across the infrastructure, mining and energy sector, our client is going through a period of sustained growth, and have engaged Infracon Australia to source a versatile, pragmatic and ambitious Operations Manager to be based out of their established Karratha office, to oversee the next exciting growth phase in the Pilbara on civil projects with new and existing public and private sector clients.
About You
You will be hands-on, pragmatic and grounded person, with strong relationship-building skills and good commercial acumen.
With a small leadership group, we are seeking driven and career-minded individuals capable of rolling their sleeves up and working collaboratively towards a common goal. You will take pleasure and pride in seeing your committed efforts to take a solid foundation of a local civil business and grow into a thriving Pilbara business unit.

Your salary will be starting from $250,000 + Super + Fully Maintained Vehicle, Fuel Card, Laptop, Mobile Phone with an appropriate house (including utilities) provided by the company for the duration of your employment.

Other criteria to be considered are;
- Ideally Tertiary Qualified (Engineering, Construction Management etc.)
- Minimum of 15 years industry experience, 5 years in project/ package management
- Strong background in bulk earthwork projects, mine infrastructure
- Able to demonstrate successful execution of projects up to $20m value
- Experience in tendering/ estimating highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in growing or building a construction business will stand you in good stead as you embark on this journey.
- The ideal applicant will have prior experience working on projects in the Australia mining sector with clients such as BHP, RTIO, FMG, Roy Hill etc.
- Those already living in the Pilbara, or looking for that coastal lifestyle change are actively encouraged to apply.
- You MUST have Australian Work Rights to be eligible for this position.
